Leo Yip of Hong Kong claimed the U-19 title by defeating his teammate Robbie James Capito in the final with a marginal score of 11-10.  Leo won the lag and then had absolute advantage by being on the hill leading 10-4 with 6 championship points.  However, two unforced error by Leo gave Robbie the chance to make it double-hill.

Despite all the pressure, Leo kept his groove to break and run in the final rack.  After potting a long 8, Leo knew that he already had it and roared for joy before sinking the last ball.
