Nov 10 — The final of the Hong Kong 10-Ball Open was held at SPIN Billiards of the SunMong Snooker Club (www.sunmong.com); match started at 2:00pm.  The hot seats were dominated by partners of the bronze medalists (Ansen Lo and Andrew Kong) of the Asian Cup of last year, while the playoff was between ex-snooker player Vincent Ting and the newly crowned WPA World 9-Ball Open Junior champion Leo Yip.

Ansen, the ex-HK Open Junior champion, kicked off the final match with good start by leading 3-1 before the multiple HK Open champions Andrew started rolling his engine.  The players then squared the match at 3-3, 5-5 and 8-8.  Ansen was the first to reach the hill and eventually won the championship with a final score of 11-9.  A brand new champion was born.  Andrew won his runner-up places two times in a row after reaching the final of the HK 9-Ball Open this year.

Vincent Ting, the HK Snooker Open Junior champion in the early 2000, was a pleasant surprise to be in the last four for the first time in this tournament.  However, the new crowned world junior champion proved too strong for him.  Leo won the match 11:5 to snatch 3rd place.
